01. Using Security Sentinel

These Terms of Use govern your use of Security Sentinel, provided by Zarzara. By using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using it. Any mandatory rights you have under applicable law remain unaffected.

02. Permission to use the app

Zarzara grants you a limited, non-exclusive license to use the app for lawful personal or business purposes on devices you are authorized to use, subject to these terms and applicable store rules. The app’s code, branding and design belong to their respective owners; your files and content remain yours.

Do not redistribute or sell unauthorized copies, remove ownership notices, interfere with the app or its providers, or circumvent technical restrictions. Restrictions on modification or reverse engineering apply only to the extent permitted by law and do not override rights granted by applicable open-source licenses.

03. Your content and responsibilities

Only process content you own or are authorized to access and modify. Respect the privacy, intellectual-property and confidentiality rights of others. Do not use the app to conceal unlawful activity, falsify records, tamper with evidence or bypass legal retention duties.

You decide what to scan, what to remove, where to save outputs and whether to share them. Keep originals or independent backups where needed. The app’s local history is a convenience with size limits, not a reliable archival or backup service.

04. Detection and cleanup limitations

Security Sentinel is an assistive review tool. It does not guarantee that it will find every sensitive detail, remove every metadata field, anonymize a person, securely erase data or satisfy a particular legal or compliance requirement. Results can contain false positives and false negatives and can vary by format, language, device and available models.

Removing metadata does not automatically redact visible text or images in a document. A clean report is not a certification that a file is safe to publish. Text replacement, metadata cleanup or image transformations can affect document properties, signatures, formatting, compatibility or evidentiary value. Review the output before sharing or relying on it.

05. Local data, exports and deletion

The app may keep original scan content and reports in private device storage and generate temporary output files. Deleting history does not remove originals, exported copies, clipboard content or system backups. Device failure, uninstalling, clearing storage or automatic eviction can remove local data.

The Privacy Policy explains data handling, network connections and deletion controls. You remain responsible for permissions and destinations you choose, your device security, backups, and copies sent to third parties.

06. Third-party services and availability

Google ML Kit, Firebase Analytics, Android services, OpenStreetMap and any storage or sharing providers you choose have their own terms and policies. Network availability, model downloads and device capabilities can affect features. Third-party availability is outside Zarzara’s control.

Zarzara may release updates or change or discontinue features, subject to applicable law. We do not promise uninterrupted service, compatibility with every file or device, or support for every Android version indefinitely. Store terms govern any store transaction; this page does not establish a price or subscription.

07. Warranties and liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the app is provided as available, without a promise that it will be error-free or meet every particular purpose. You must independently review content before sharing it or using it for important decisions.

To the extent permitted by law, Zarzara is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the app, including loss caused by reliance on incomplete detections, mishandled exports or failure to retain necessary originals. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including fraud, intentional misconduct or mandatory consumer protections.

08. Ending use and changes to these terms

You can stop using and uninstall the app at any time. The license may end if you materially breach these terms, subject to any notice or remedy required by law. Ending the license does not transfer ownership of your content or authorize Zarzara to access local files.

Updates to these terms will appear here with a revised effective date. Material changes will be communicated, and consent obtained, where required. If you do not agree to an applicable update, stop using the app.

09. Applicable rights and contact

Applicable mandatory law, including consumer and data-protection rights where you live, continues to apply. These terms do not impose a mandatory arbitration requirement or take away access to courts or regulators available under applicable law.
