PIXCLEAR / BY ZARZARA
Privacy Policy
Your photos and videos are reviewed and optimized on your device and are never uploaded. The free version shows Google AdMob ads, and RevenueCat verifies purchases with an anonymous ID; neither receives your media. Details below.
01. Who we are and what this covers
PixClear is an iPhone and Android app provided by Zarzara. This policy explains how the app handles your photos and videos, what it stores on your device, which services it uses for ads and purchases, and what happens when you visit this app’s pages on zarzara.app or contact support. For privacy requests, email support@zarzara.app.
02. Your photos and videos
PixClear needs access to your photo library to show, review and optimize your photos and videos. You choose full or limited access in your system settings, and you can change it at any time. On iPhone it also asks to add photos, so it can save optimized copies and still frames you choose to keep.
Reviewing, comparing and optimizing happen on your device. PixClear does not upload your photos or videos, and it does not send their contents, file names, album names, locations, EXIF data or library identifiers to Zarzara, to the advertising service or to the purchase service. PixClear does not use AI image classification.
On iPhone, if a photo is stored in iCloud, Apple’s Photos framework may download the original from your iCloud account when you open, share or optimize it, or when you choose to measure iCloud file sizes. That transfer is between your device and Apple under Apple’s terms.
Deletion is always confirmed by you in the operating system’s own dialog. Optimized copies are saved as new items in a PixClear album; originals are never overwritten.
03. Data stored on your device
To remember your work, PixClear stores on your device: an index of the media it can see (identifiers, dates, sizes and dimensions), your review decisions and pending deletions, temporary optimization files and job state, your settings, the start and end of an ad-free pass, and counters used to space out ads. It also keeps a local diagnostic log of operational codes, limited to 64 KB and 7 days, which you can delete in Settings.
This data stays on your device and is removed when you uninstall the app. On Android, PixClear excludes its data from system backups and device transfers. On iPhone, app data may be included in your device backups according to your Apple settings.
04. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version shows ads provided by Google AdMob, including interstitial ads at natural breaks and optional rewarded ads. Google’s User Messaging Platform asks for consent where the law requires it, and you can review your choices at any time under Settings → PixClear without ads → Ad privacy choices.
To serve and measure ads and prevent fraud, Google may collect information such as your device type and settings, IP address, approximate location derived from it, app interactions with ads, and device or advertising identifiers, according to your consent choices and Google’s policies. On Android, PixClear removes the advertising ID permission; on iPhone, PixClear does not request App Tracking Transparency permission. These choices limit, but do not eliminate, data the ad SDK may process.
PixClear does not request ads while Premium or an active ad-free pass is known to be in effect.
05. Purchases (App Store, Google Play and RevenueCat)
Premium is sold through the App Store or Google Play, which process your payment and hold your billing details; Zarzara never receives your card information.
PixClear uses RevenueCat to verify purchases and restore Premium. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user identifier generated for the app, your purchase and subscription history from the store, and basic device and app information. PixClear sends no name, email address, advertising identifier or media data to RevenueCat. Purchase records are retained by RevenueCat so your purchases can be restored and managed.
06. Reminders and issue reports
Review reminders are optional local notifications scheduled on your device. PixClear does not use a push-notification server.
If you choose Report an issue, PixClear builds a report on your device and shows you the entire text before the system share sheet opens. You decide whether to send it and to whom. Optional diagnostics include app version, device and system basics, permission and setting states, anonymous counts and recent operational error codes, and never include media, thumbnails, file names, paths, album names, EXIF, location, purchase tokens or advertising identifiers. Cancelling the share sheet sends nothing.
07. What PixClear does not do
PixClear has no Zarzara account, no Zarzara server for your library, and no analytics or crash-report upload of its own. Zarzara does not sell your photos or personal information. Data processed by Google AdMob and RevenueCat is described above and governed by their policies.
08. Website visits and support
Visiting zarzara.app, including these legal pages, is separate from using the app. The website’s analytics records page path, referring page, browser/user-agent, IP address, available country information, visit time and an event identifier. The site uses Upstash Redis to store up to the latest 10,000 visit events; older events are displaced as new ones arrive. Hosting services may also process request logs under their own policies.
If you email support, we receive your email address and whatever you include, and use it only to respond. Please do not attach personal photos unless they are necessary to explain a problem.
09. Legal bases, children and your rights
On-device processing provides the features you request. Advertising relies on your consent where required, or on legitimate interests in funding a free app where permitted. Purchase verification is necessary to provide what you buy.
PixClear is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and Zarzara does not knowingly collect their personal information.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, or withdraw consent. Contact support@zarzara.app about data Zarzara holds or about purchase records held by RevenueCat on our behalf. For ad data, you can also use Google’s privacy controls. You may complain to your local data-protection authority.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the app or its data handling changes. The effective date at the top identifies the current version; material changes will be communicated as required by law. Questions: support@zarzara.app.
